Are my Yankees done? Has their post season run ended? We will know within a week. They have had an injury plagued season. They are old in all the wrong places and A-Rod still has never stepped up to lead the charge like Jeter or Reggie Jackson before him. He is a great player but, I am afraid , will never have a world series ring. At least the Red Sox are looking up at the Rays too. Maybe my Yankees can catch the wild card. We will see.

Are my Yankees done?
August 26, 2008COLLEGE AND PRO FOOTBALL ARE HERE!
August 26, 2008While baseball is my favorite sport, football is right behind it and the 2008 season is upon us. Will it be another roller coaster ride in college football like last year? Maybe. Will Georgia bring back the national title? Or will be Southern California? Will Charlie Weis survive another poor season, or will he feel the wrath of touchdown jesus? Will NY Giants repeat? Will Wade Phillips finally lead a team to a title? Will Aaron Rodgers escape Brett Favre’s shadow? Will Favre rot on the bench in the Meadowlands? I don’t have any answers, yet. But, let’s sit back and enjoy what appears to be an interesting season.
Quite an Olympics!
August 26, 2008The Olympics have ended with the usual fireworks, entertainment, pomp and circumstance that comes with the end of such a great event. Michael Phelps pushed Mark Spitz out of the way and became our most decorated Olympian. Congratulations are in order. How about Dana Torres who, at 41, collected three silver medals in swimming against women half her age. The Redeem Team returned the basketball gold medal back where it belongs. All in all, it was quite an olympics.
Your mission, Mr. Phelps!
August 17, 2008Many people win honors, but few make history. Michael Phelps, your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to win eight gold medals in the Beijing Olympics. Well, he has accepted what for most would be an impossible mission( sorry, but I loved that series!) and, for the most part, made it look easy. He is on the verge of immortality as I write this blog and I hope he does it.
Don’t get too excited, Jets fans!
August 17, 2008Brett Favre may be wearing number four for the New York Jets, but are they so deluded into thinking he will take them to the Super Bowl? Already, he is complaining about his arm hurting. I feel for the Jets fans, they have been teased often over the years, only to be disappointed. I am afraid theyw ill even mor edisappointed this time. Brett, you should have stayed retired.
GET IT OVER WITH!
August 6, 2008The Brett Favre soap opera has become ridiculous! Trade him, release him but end it already. Tampa Bay makes sense. They could use another veteran QB. Logistically, it is close to Favre’s Mississippi home and they are a playoff team. Get it done, Ted Thompson and lets get on with the season.
TIME FOR THE SHOW TO END, BRETT!
August 5, 2008Well, Brett Favre walked out of Lambeau Field today, after what were described as “honest” discussions. It is time for the soap opera to end, Brett. You have had a great career, don’t embarrass yourself any further. It is time to ride off into the sunset.
